Médecin-chef de la Brigade de sapeurs-pompiers de Paris et officier du Service de santé des armées, Stéphane Travers nous plonge au cœur de l’urgence vitale. À travers le prisme de ses années de terrain, il raconte comment la survie d’un patient peut dépendre d’un citoyen volontaire, d’une application mobile et de quelques secondes bien utilisées. Dans un monde où les appels à l’aide explosent, il met en lumière la puissance d’un écosystème humain – pompiers, secouristes, citoyens formés – épaulé par des innovations technologiques : géolocalisation, intelligence artificielle, drones porteurs de défibrillateurs, ou encore prédiction des situations critiques. Stéphane Travers est médecin du Service de santé des armées et médecin-chef de la Brigade de sapeurs-pompiers de Paris. Spécialiste de la médecine d’urgence pré-hospitalière, il a occupé de nombreux postes opérationnels, notamment au sein des forces spéciales, du 1er RPIMa ou de l’Élysée, tout en alternant avec des missions à la BSPP où il a profondément contribué à l'évolution des pratiques de secours. Professeur agrégé en médecine d’urgence, il participe activement à la recherche et à la formation dans ce domaine. Son action se situe à la croisée de l’innovation technologique, de l’engagement militaire et du service à la population.
